Oil check/change interval
Every 6 months or 100 operating
hours
Position the outboard motor
vertically.
Remove the level screw and see if
oil flows out.
If no oil comes out, fill oil through
the drain screw hole until the oil
starts to flow out through the level
screw hole.
20 operating hours or first month
after initial use for initial change,
then every 6 months or 100 operating
hours.
Install and tighten the drain screw
and level screw securely.
We recommend that you use the
optional gear oil bottle to fill the gear
oil easily.
If there is water in the oil, the water
will flow out first when the drain
screw is removed, or the oil will be a
milky color. Consult with an
authorized Honda outboard motor
dealer.
SAE 90 Hypoid gear oil or
