Emergency Starting
STARTING THE ENGINE

ENGINE COVER LATCH
FLYWHEEL COVER
NEUTRAL START CABLE
If the recoil starter does not operate
properly for some reasons, the engine
can be started using the spare starter
rope in the tool kit.
Move the shift lever to F
(forward) position.
Unlatch the engine cover latch and
remove the engine cover.
Loosen the neutral start cable lock
nut and disconnect the neutral start
cable.
Remove the three 6 22 mm
flange bolts and recoil starter
assembly.
Take care not to lose the bolts.
