5. REAR SHIELD
REMOVAL
1. Move the rear wheel height adjuster to the lowest deck
height (position #1).
2. Tip the mower on the right-hand side so that the air
cleaner is facing up.
3. Remove the Phillips-head screw and plain washer from
the rear housing.
4. Use a pick tool to pull the rear shield shaft out of the
slot in the rear housing.
5. Pull the shaft completely out of the rear housing and
rear shield.
