Remove the camshaft ho l ders and measure the
widtf> at each pJasligauge_
The w idest thic kness determines the oil clearance.

When the service l imits are e)(ceeded. replace th e
ca
mshaft and recheck tho oil clearance.
Replace
the cyli nder head and camshaft holders as
a set if the cleara r'l ce st ill exceeds the service li mit.

REMOVAL
Remove the followings
- engine (page 6- 2)
- camshaft ( page 7·3)
- carbu r etor inta ke pipe
- cam chain tensiOr"le r se t pl'lle bolt, set plate and
adj uste r.
Remove the cyl i nde r head bolt and the cy li nder
hcad .
Re m ove the gas ke t and dow(:)1 pi ns_
R emove t he va lve spri ng COtters using t he special
1001 as shown.
TOOL:
Valve spring compressor 07157-0010000
