SUSPENSION
Loose, worn or damaged suspension parts impair
motorcycle st ability and control. RepaIr or replace
any damaged c omponents before riding . Riding a

FRONT SUSPENSION INSPECTION
Check the action of the f or k legs by ope ra ting th e
fr ont brake and compressing the front suspens i on
several times.
Chock the entire assembly f or signs of leaks. dama ge
or loose fasteners.
Replace damaged components which canno t be
repaired.
Tighten all nuts and bo l ts .
Refer
to section 11 f or lark service.
REAR SUSPENSION INSPECTION
Support the motorcycle on a safety stand or box
and .aise t he rear whee l off the g.ound.
Hold the swi n garm and mo ve t he .ea. whee l
sideways with force to see if the wheel bearings are
worn.
Check f or worn sw in garm bu shings by grabbing the
swingarm a ri d try to move it side to side.
Replace the bushing s if any loosene ss is noted .
