Honda XR80R Service Manual

Remove the shi ft drum stopper plate lind dowel pins.
Pull the gear shift sp i ndle out of the crankcase.
tnspect
the gears hift spindle for wear or damage
~nd replace if necessary_
ASSEMBLY
Instal the gearsh i ft sp i nd le i nto the crankcase, so
that the r eturn spr i ng pin is positioned between the
spr i ng ends.
If you re m ove the shi ft return spri ng pi n. tight en it
to the specified torque.
TORQUE: ~ N.m 13.0 k gf·m. 22 lb f ·ft l
