Housing mantle terminal
The primary PE-connection (protective
earth) of the mains supply must be
connected to the appropriate terminal of
the FACP to ensure a proper operation of
the system.
The FE (functional earth) and PE
(protective earth) terminals of the panel’s
housing must be connected with the PE
rail of the power distributor panel from
which the fire alarm system will be
powered.
Use copper cable with a cross section of
at least ≥ 4 mm
2
depending on the length
of the cable run.
The FACP IQ8Control is a protection
>class I DIN EN 60950< device.

The base module is connected to the rear panel of the cabinet by means of metal spacers and
screws. This electrically conducting connection between base module and rear panel is essential
for correct functional earthing of the FACP IQ8Control C/M.
