2.1 Mounting and Location of Sensors

Theplacementofsensorsshouldbedeterminedfollowingthe
adviceofexpertshavingspecialistknowledgeofgasdispersion,
expertshavingknowledgeoftheprocessplantsystemand
equipmentinvolved,andsafetyandengineeringpersonnel�The
agreementreachedonthelocationofsensorsshouldbe
recorded�Considerthesefactorswhenlocatinggassensors:
• possibledamagecausedbynaturaleventssuchasrainor
ooding
• easeofaccessforfunctionaltestingandservicing
• howescapinggasmaybehaveduetonaturalorforcedair
currents�
