Using Plug-In Modules
You can use any compatible plug-in module in your notebooks module bay:
?? CD drive.
?? DVD drive.
?? CD-RW drive.
?? DVD/CD-RW combo drive.
?? Weight-saving module (to reduce travel weight and protect your module bay).
To replace a plug-in module
CAUTION
Before disconnecting a plug-in module, you must turn off the notebookotherwise,
you could lose data and damage the equipment.
Handle and store a module carefully when its out of the notebook. Do not drop it
or apply excessive pressure to its surfacesthis could damage its internal
mechanisms. Do not touch the metallic pins on the notebooks connectors or the
module connectors. Static electricity can damage internal components.
1. Turn off the notebook: click Start, Turn Off Computer, Turn Off.
