8.80Cleaning air filter x
Warning
Environmental hazard Problem materials cause environmental damage.
– Dispose of oil, grease, filters, fuel, cleaning substances, brake fluid, batteries, etc. according to regulations.

Do not clean the air filter with fuel or petroleum since these substances attack the foam.
– Remove the air filter. ( P. 64)
– Wash the air filter thoroughly in special cleaning liquid and allow it to dry properly.

Only press the air filter to dry it, never wring it out.
– Oil the dry air filter with a high/quality filter oil.

– Clean the air filter box.
– Check carburetor connection boot for damage and tightness.
– Install the air filter ( P. 64)
8.81Carburetor - idle
The idle setting of the carburetor has a big influence on the starting behavior, stable idling and the response to throttle opening. That
means that an engine with a correctly set idle speed is easier to start than if the idle is set wrongly.

The carburetor and its components are subject to increased wear caused by engine vibration. Wear can result in malfunction-
ing.
