When using your vehicle, remember that others may feel disturbed by excessive noise.
Make sure that the pre-delivery inspection work has been carried out by an authorized KTM workshop.
You receive a delivery certificate and the service record at vehicle handover.
Before your first trip, read the entire operating instructions carefully.
Get to know the controls.
Adjust the basic setting of the clutch lever. ( p. 152)
Adjust the free travel of hand brake lever. ( p. 89)
Adjust the basic position of foot brake lever. x
Get used to handling the motorcycle on a suitable piece of land before making a longer trip. Try also to ride as slowly as possible and
in a standing position to get a better feeling for the vehicle.
Hold the handlebar firmly with both hands and keep your feet on the footrests when riding.
Run the engine in.
6.2Running in the engine
Do not exceed the specified engine speed and load during the running-in period.
Guideline
Maximum engine speed
During the first: 1,000 km (621.4 mi) 6,500 rpm
After the first: 1,000 km (621.4 mi) 9,500 rpm
Avoid full-throttle operation!
