4.1 Starting the engine from the driver's cab

• Check the display (1) in the Start menu or in the Driving menu.
If the symbol is blue, then the steering angle is not correct based on the 1st
and 2nd axle lines.
• Steer using the steering wheel – the steering angle is automatically offset,
and the lamp (1) goes out.
Instrument panel After the engine start, several lamps must go out.
The lamp (3) only goes out when the vehicle
starts moving.
• Check that the lamps (1) and (2) go out. If
one or more lamps light up;

If the
Steering system warning (1) red lamp does not go off, then you must
perform the required checks before you start off;

Risk of accidents from unexpected movement!
If the
Steering system warning red lamp lights up, then the 3rd axle will no
longer be automatically steered – not even in the straight running position.
Before the drive, check the steering angle and steer the 3rd axle, if need be,
into the straight running position with the emergency operation.
