7. Move the thermostat housing bracket with the fuel pump to the side.
a - Thermostat cap
b - Fuel pump pulse hose
c - Bolts (M6 x 30) (2)
d - J‑clamp
e - Fuel pump
f - Bolt (M6 x 60)
8. Remove the gasket and thermostat.
a - Thermostat
b - Gasket
Inspection
1. Tie a piece of thread or other nonconductive material onto the thermostat.
2. Suspend a thermometer in the water.
IMPORTANT: Do not allow the thermometer to contact the heating surface of the container. An inaccurate temperature
reading may result.
3. Slowly heat the water while observing the thermostat and thermometer.
