sonartransducer.Thesonarmoduleinterpretssignalsfromthe
transducerandbuildsupadetailedunderwaterview.
Thetransducerislocatedonthebottomoftheboat,itsends
pulsesofsoundwavesintothewaterandmeasuresthetimeit
takesforthesoundwavetotraveltothebottomandback.The
returningechoesareaffectedbybottomstructureandbyany
otherobjectsintheirpath,forexamplereefs,wrecks,shoals
orsh.
Colorsareusedonthedisplaytoindicatethestrengthofthe
returns.Youcanusethisinformationtodeterminethebottom
structure,thesizeofshandotherobjectsinthewater,such
asdebrisorairbubbles
