Theorientationofachartreferstotherelationshipbetweenthe
chartandthedirectionthatyouaretravellingin.
Themodeyouchooseappliestoallchartviews,andisrestored
atpowerup.
Thefollowingoptionsareavailable:
NorthUp
InNorthUpmode,thechartorientationisxedwithnorth
upwards.Asyourheadingchangesthevesselsymbolmoves
accordingly.Thisisthedefaultmodeforthechartapplication.
NorthcanbesettoeitherTruenorthorMagneticfromthe
SystemSettingsmenu.
CourseUp
InCourseUpmode,thechartorientationchangestoshowyour
currentcourseupwards.AsyourCOGchanges,thevessel
symbolmovesaccordingly.Ifyouselectanewcourse,the
picturewillresettodisplaythenewcourseupwards.
IfCOGdatabecomesunavailablewhilstinthismodethechart
uses0°forCOG.

2.SelectChartOrientation.
SelectingChartOrientationswitchesbetweenNorthUpand
CourseUp.
