Device-specific safety instructions
Danger due to electrical current
The power cable to be connected at the customer location could be damaged by improper
connection to the device.
• Check whether the existing line voltage corresponds to the line voltage specified on the
nameplate of the device or in the technical specifications.
You can also find the required line voltage in the test certificate valid for your country.
• Before starting up the device, you should carry out a visual inspection and PE conductor
test of the cable. To do this, proceed in accordance with the country-specific safet
y
standards, regulations or other applicable directives.
• Because part of the cable runs in the device, always adhere to the product safety
standard IEC/EN 61010-1 or its national equivalent.
Cable glands for the wall-mounted device
• Match the diameters of the cables to the terminal areas of the cable glands.
• After installation, make sure that the cables are secure and that the seals are in the
c
orrect position.
Note
Terminal ranges of the cable glands
Use
cables matched to the terminal ranges of the cable glands:
Cable gland M16 x 1.5 (plastic): Terminal range 5 to 10 mm
Cable gland M16 x 1.5 (metal): Terminal range 6 to 10 mm
Cable gland M20 x 1.5 (plastic/metal): Terminal range 10 to 14 mm
