General safety instructions for commissioning
Commissioning and operation with error message
If an error message is displayed, correct operation in the process is no longer guaranteed.
• Check to see which error is pending.
• Correct the error.
• If the error continues to exist:
– Take the device out of operation.
– Prevent a new commissioning.
Introduction of combustible gases
Explosion hazard
Devices in standard version are not designed for use in hazardous areas.
• Do not use a standard version of the analyzer in hazardous areas.
• Supply gases with flammable components at concentrations above the lower explosi
on
l
imit (LEL) only in devices with pipes.
Leaking of toxic gases when the device is vented
Danger of poisoning
Toxic sample gases and liquids can be released when the device is vented.
• Before venting, ensure that there are no toxic gases or liquids in the device.
Danger of poisoning by escaping gas
Leaky gas paths lead to accumulation of the sample gas in the device.
• Check whether the threaded joints at the gas connections are secure. Tighten the
threaded joints with a suitable open-ended wrench, if necessary. In the process, mak
