21. Positioning of zigzag pulse motor at origin point
This procedure is to explain how to set the motor pinion, the lift cam and the motor
set when these components are removed.
1. Set the motor pinion temporarily and set the lift cam so that it may engage with
the motor pinion with the circle mark pointed by triangle in correct position as
shown below.
2. Under the situation that motor is excited with the machine turned on, find a screw
which can be tightened and loosen it.
3. Select mode 1 under test mode B (needle position at center, feed "0") and do
positioning of zigzag at origin point by turning hand wheel once manually.
4. Loosen another screw on the pinion under the situation above and turn the
pinion clockwise until it touches with the stopper.
Motor shaft is excited under this condition and the motor shaft cannot be moved by
turning the pinion.
5. Tighten the accessible screw on the pinion under the condition above.
6. Turn off power switch and tighten another screw on the pinion. .
