30. Sensor-A on top cover
A roller is located at the turning point to the thread tension disc and rotated by the
friction resistance of thread pulled from thread spool. A rotary encoder with slits
around is below the roller the encoder passes through slot of the photo sensor.
The encoder is rotated with thread pulled and signal issued within the photo sensor
is closed/opened.

Thread is pulled from thread spool through a tension plate which gives a certain
tension to thread and then between the roller and encoder which are rotated with
thread pulled.
The encoder with slits around continues to close/open signal from the photo sensor
while sewing, but if signal is not received/sent during 8 cycles of stitches, it judges as
thread breakage and stops the machine.
