29. Sensors for thread breakage
Two sensors for thread breakage are provided.
Error message [E1] should appear under the same condition both when sewing
embroidery and sewing normal pattern stitches.
Sensor A:
This is located on the threading area on top cover and thread breakage is detected with
rotary encoder system. If the encoder doesn't rotate while needle operates during 8
cycles of stitches, it judges the phenomenon as thread breakage and stops the machine.
Sensor B:
This is located near the check spring on the thread guide plate and is closed/opened by
a moving plate attached to the check spring which is moved up and down vertically by
the movement of thread take-up lever. If the moving plate doesn't close/open it within 3
cycles of stitches, it judges the phenomenon as thread breakage and stops the machine.
