11.2 Troubleshooting Equipment Performance
Use the tables below to diagnose and remedy any performance issues.
Observed problem:
Sonic irrigator does not power-up.
Possible causes and solutions:
l Make sure that the main disconnect switch is in the ON position and that
electrical power is supplied to the equipment.
l Facility power may be incorrect for the equipment. If facility power is incorrect for
the equipment, the internal circuit breaker may have tripped. Contact supplier.
Observed problem:
Lid handle does not move to allow lid to open.
Possible causes and solutions:
l If power is disconnected from equipment while the lid is in the locked position the
lid locking mechanism will need to be reset to allow the lid handle to move. See
Opening the Unity 20 Lid After a Power Failure
on page100.
l Pushing the lid handle forward immediately after the cycle completes may not
allow enough time for the lid lock internal bolt to release fully. If the handle does
not move forward more than ~10 mm (~0.5 in.), let go of the lid handle and allow it
to fall back to the locked position. A few moments later, the lid handle should be
able to move forward fully and allow the lid to open. This is an equipment
characteristic and not a manufacturing defect.
