11.3 Opening the Unity 20 Lid After a Power Failure
The Unity 20 model has a safety interlock that prevents the lid from being opened during a
wash cycle. At the end of the wash cycle, the interlock is released and the lid can be
opened. In the event of power being lost during a wash cycle, the interlock may remain in
the locked position, preventing the lid from opening.
If power cannot be restored to the equipment, the interlock can be reset manually, allowing
the lid to be opened.
1. On the left-side lid latch assembly, there is a interlock reset hole, as shown.
2. Insert a thin stylus or rod, less than 3 mm (1/8 in.) in diameter, into the reset hole
and push firmly. The interlock should release. Remove the stylus.
3. After resetting the interlock, push the lid handle away from you, then pull upwards
to open the lid.
