• Remove the following parts.
0 Piston
A Secondary cup
B Primary cup
C Return spring
MASTER CYLINDER INSPECTION
MASTER CYLINDER
• Inspect the master cylinder bore for any scratches or damage.
If any defects are found, replace the master cylinder with a
new one.
PISTON AND RUBBER PARTS
• Inspect the piston surface for any scratches or other damage.
• Inspect the primary cup, secondary cup, dust boot and return
spring for wear or damage.
MASTER CYLINDER REASSEMBLY
Reassemble the master cylinder in the reverse order of disas-
sembly. Pay special attention to the following points:

- Specification and classification: DOT 4
* Wash the master cylinder components with new
brake fluid before reassembly.
* Do not wipe the brake fluid off after washing the
components.
* When washing the components, use the specified
brake fluid. Never use different types of fluid or
cleaning solvents such as gasoline, kerosine, etc.
* Apply brake fluid to the master cylinder bore and all
of the master cylinder components before reassem-
bly.
