STEERING WHEEL
• Check the position of the undercarriage
(steering device) before traveling.
Before operating the travel pedal, make
sure that the steering device is to the
front of the operator’s seat. Remember
that when the steering device is to the
rear of the operator’s seat, the steering
wheel must be operated in the reverse
direction from when it is to the front.
• Keep in mind that the steering wheel
operation is not possible when the
engine is stopped or if the steering
pump becomes faulty.
The steering device contains the steering
wheel (1) and the turn signal lever (2) for
driving.
Change direction by carefully turning the
wheel. The additional steering knob makes
the steering wheel movement easier.
The steering wheel operation is available only
when the engine is running or the steering
pump is properly working.

The machines for the German market are
equipped with the emergency steering wheel
function which allows steering wheel
operation even if the engine is stopped. Note
that, compared to a normal steering wheel
operation, it requires twice as much force to
turn the emergency steering wheel to turn to
the desired turning angle of wheels.

Adjusting the position of the steering
wheel
• Adjust the position of the steering wheel
before driving the machine.
If you adjust it while driving the
machine, steering will become unstable,
possibly resulting in an accident.
• After adjusting, check that the steering
wheel is securely fixed in place.
Unsecured steering wheel is dangerous,
as it could be moved unexpectedly.
The position of the steering wheel can be
adjusted in up/down and front/back
directions.
Up /Down
1. Turn the cap (3) counterclockwise and pull
up or push down the wheel.
2. Tighten the cap (3).
Forward /backward
1. Press the lever (4) to the right and tilt the
steering wheel forward or backward.
2. Release the lever (4) at the desired angle.
