Service and Repairs
Cooling System
To ensure proper engine cooling, make sure the debris
screen, cooling fins and other external surfaces of the
engine are kept clean at all times.
NOTE: Perform this maintenance procedure at the in-
terval specified in the Operator’s Manual.
IMPORTANT: The engine that powers the Multi Pro
is air−cooled. Operating the engine with dirty or
plugged cooling fins, a blocked debris screen or a
dirty or plugged blower housing will result in en-
gine overheating and engine damage.
1. Park machine on a level surface, stop spray pump,
stop engine and engage parking brake. Remove key
from ignition switch.
IMPORTANT: Never clean engine with pressurized
water. Water could enter and contaminate the fuel
system.
2. Clean cooling fins on both cylinder heads.
3. Clean debris screen and blower housing of dirt and
debris (Fig. 6). Remove screen and housing if neces-
sary.
IMPORTANT: Never operate engine without the
blower housing installed. Engine overheating and
damage will result.
4. Make sure debris screen and blower housing are re-
installed to the engine if removed.
