Toner Supply
If after checking the Low Toner Sensor three times, the state remains low, then the
toner supply agitator and toner cartridge agitation spring rotate, supplying additional
toner to the Imaging Unit. This continues until one cycle of toner high level is
detected. At this point, the toner supply agitator and a toner cartridge agitation spring
stop.
When a toner low state is detected 20 consecutive times, it indicates that the Toner
Cartridge is low. Once this condition is recognized, the Toner Low warning message
for the appropriate color is displayed after the printing of an equivalent of 5%
coverage for 200 A sized sheets. At this point, the Toner Cartridge is considered
empty.
