IMMOBILIZER SYSTEM
SELF-DIAGNOSIS MALFUNCTION CODES
When a system malfunction occurs, the malfunction code number is displayed on the multifunction
display and is indicated by the immobilizer system indicator light flash patterns.
Immobilizer system indicator light malfunction code indication
Digits of 10: on for 1 second and off for 1.5 seconds.
Digits of 1: on for 0.5 second and off for 0.5 second.

Immobilizer unit Code cannot be transmitted
between the key and immo-
bilizer unit.
1) Objects that interrupt radio
waves exist around the keys
or antennas.
2) Immobilizer unit malfunction
3) Key malfunction
1) Keep magnets, metal,
and other immobilizer
system keys away from
the keys and antennas.
2) Replace the main
switch/immobilizer unit.
3) Replace the key.

Immobilizer unit Codes transmitted between
the key and immobilizer unit
do not match.
1) Signal received from other
transponder (failed to recog-
nize code after ten consecu-
tive attempts).
2) Signal received from unregis-
tered standard key.
1) Place the immobilizer
unit at least 50 mm
away from the transpon-
der of other motorcy-
cles.
2) Register the standard
key.
