Configure the Adapter for Your
EtherNet/IP Network
Overview
Before using your adapter in an EtherNet/IP network, you need to configure
it with an IP address, subnet mask, and optional Gateway address. This chapter
describes these configuration requirements and the procedures for providing
them. Here are ways you can do this:
Use the Rockwell BootP/DHCP utility, version 2.3 or later, that ships
with RSLogix 5000 or RSLinx software.
You can also use this utility to reconfigure a device with an IP address
you must change.
Use a
third party DHCP server.
Use the Network Address thumbwheel switches.
Have your network administrator configure the adapter via the network
DHCP server.

ATTENTION
You must use series C POINT I/O modules with the adapter.
Series A or B POINT I/O modules will not work with the adapter.
