SLC Communication Channels 13-11
The DH+ network uses factory set time-outs to restart token-passing
communication if the token is lost because of a defective or powered down
node.
Example
The example below shows the connectivity of an SLC 5/04 processor to a
PLC-5 processor using the DH+ protocol. A communication rate of 57.6K
baud is used.
Example
The example below shows a DH+ protocol using two SLC 5/04 controllers
using the higher baud rates of 115.2K baud or 230K baud.
A Personal Computer with one of the following:
1784-KTX (ISA)
1784-KTXD (ISA)

PLC-5/40
SLC 5/04
Modular I/O Controller
1784-PKTX (PCI)
1784-PKTXD (PCI)

TIP
In the example below, the programming terminal is
connected to the serial port of the SLC 5/04 processor to
communicate on the DH+ network at the higher baud rate.
This method uses the DF1 to DH+ passthru feature.
