14 Using the Printer and Laminator
Replacing the Card Hopper
Iftheentirecardhopperhasbeenremovedfromtheprinter,
reinstallitbeforeusingtheprinter.
1. Insertthehooksonthecardhopperintotheslotsinthe
receptacle.
2. Slidethecardhopperdownuntilitclicksintoplace.
Adjusting Card Thickness
Fromthefactory ,theprinterissettousecards0.030inch(0.75mm)thick.Followthesestepsto
settheprintertousecardsofadifferentthickness.
1. Removethecardhopper,asdescribedabove.
2. Turnthehoppersothatthesilverdialfacesyou.
3. Useapointeditemsuch
asapentoslidethedial:
 Counterclockwisetoprintthinnercards.
 Clockwisetoprintthickercards.
 Asettingof1.0mmcorrespondstocards0.040inchthick.
 Asettingof0.75mmcorrespondstocards0.030inchthick.
 Asettingof0.5mmcorrespondstocards0.020inchthick.
 Asettingof0.25mmcorrespondstocards0.010inchthick.
4. Replacethecardhopper.(See“ReplacingtheCardHopperabove.)
5. SetthecardthicknessontheStatusMonitor.Referto“MediaSettingTabonpage 44.
6. Testthenewsettingwithseveralcardstomakesurethattheprinterpicks
onlyonecardata
time.
