Symptom Cause Solution
The nipping section
does not go up.
The nipping delay time is set to "0." Change the setting on the touch panel
screen. ( p.4-15)
"Without a cover" (pad binding) is
selected.
Check the setting on the touch panel
screen. ( p.2-12)
The nipping section
does not go down.
During a pad binding operation, the glue
applied to the spine sticks to the nipping
surface.
Remove the spine from the nipping
surface little by little and change the
nipping delay time. ( p.4-15)
The cover is not
smoothly fed to the
nipper.
The cover does not go to the nipper
guide smoothly because of a curled
edge.
Use the supplied guide. ( p.3-23)
The secondary feed roller pressure is
low.
Adjust the secondary feed roller
pressure. ( p.3-10)
The nipper guides width is shorter than
the cover width.
Adjust the position of the nipper guides
on the touch panel screen. ( p.4-5)
