The G5 Adapter Plate, (115-02642-00) is shown in Figure 4-11. Each installation of a G5 in a DG/HSI
will include 2 adapter plates. Two G5 adapter plates must be installed as shown in Figure 4-12 when
• any instrument panel modification has taken place
• G5 is installed in an instrument hole with cutouts for instrument knobs
The G5 adapter plate is fabricated from 0.050 thick 2024-T3 aluminum per the dimensions shown in
Figure 4-11. Apply a finish coat of paint to adaptor plates as desired prior to final installation. These
may be field fabricated if needed and must have some type of corrosion protection (primer, alodine, etc.).
