3-10 Final Mag Tape Check DTOS ONLY
Run the 6026 Reliability program for one (1) hour as follows:
a. Mount and load the DTOS tape. If necessary, refer to the DTOS Manual, Volume 1, Part 1, for
details.
b. At the prompt (==>), observe the following and type the underline responses:

A. MOUNT SCRATCH TAPE
B. SET SWPAK AS PER 8.0

c. To dismount the DTOS tape, press RESET to take the drive off-line, press BOT to rewind the
tape, then press and hold the UNLOAD switch to wind the tape onto the supply reel.
d. Mount a 10” reel of blank tape containing the yellow write-enable ring. Press BOT to load the
vacuum columns. When the tape is at BOT, press ONLINE.
e. At the Operator’s Console, hit the ‘CR’ key. The tape should begin to move.
f. Allow the program to run for at least an hour. No errors are acceptable.
NOTE: Record errors may be due to a bad tape. To verify this mount another tape and run program again.
g. To stop the program, hold the UNLOCK switch and press RESET at the S/140 front console.
