GE MEDICAL SYSTEMS CT 9800 QUICK SYSTEM
Rev. 3 Direction 18000
6-1-1
SECTION 1 INTRODUCTION & DEVICE CODES
1-1 Introduction
The numerous adjustments, device code settings, jumper settings, etc. within the CT 9800 system are included
or referenced in this chapter. These adjustments should be performed:
• After an FMI hardware change or upgrade has been installed and the Chapter 4 Functional Checks
indicates an adjustment is required.
• After any repair has been made that could affect system performance.
• At any time that proper device calibration or performance is in doubt.
After any of these adjustments are performed, the Functional Checks for that subsystem (see Chapter 4 of this
manual) should be performed to assure correct system operation has been restored.
If these adjustments do not respond as described, or if any device requires frequent adjustment, it is an indication
that a component may be defective within the circuitry. Refer to Chapter 8 of the proper subsystem manual for
troubleshooting aids to assist in locating the defective component(s).
