2-6 Power Interlocks
Computer Thermostat
With the PDU fully powered, all breakers ON. At the REM, press the electronic circuit ON switch. Press the X-
Ray drive ON switch. Verify both ON indicator switches are illuminated.
At the computer heat sensor, heat up the sensor to trigger an alarm out of tolerance temperature condition. To
create this condition, soak a towel in hot water, wring it out and quickly take it to the computer room and wrap the
towel around the heat sensor.
NOTE: Do not use a soldering iron to heat up the sensor because it can damage or change the set
temperature of the sensor.
Ensure that at the PDU, an A3 panel relays A3-K1, K2, K3 de-energize. At the REM panel, the OFF red indicator
light and the green ON goes out.
This condition is maintained even when the temperature returns to normal level.
2-7 Emergency OFF
1. SEO system emergency OFF.
Switch A1 Main Breaker ON. Ensure that SEO operation de-energizes the A1 Main Breaker. Repeat this
several times to ensure correct operation.
2. Table Emergency OFF/Operators Console Emergency OFF.
A. With the PDU Powered with electronic circuits ON and X-Ray circuits ON. Verify at the REM panel, both
green lights are ON.
B. Press the Table Emergency OFF.
C. Ensure that at the PDU A3 panel relay, A3K3 only de-energizes.
D. At the PDU A1 panel relay, A1K1 relay de-energizes.
E. At the REM panel, the X-Ray drives red OFF indicator lights.
F. Repeat this several times to ensure correct operation. Repeat this whole step substituting the Operators
Console Emergency OFF.
