– Turn the tap handle of the fuel tap to the OFF position.
– Remove the fuel tank. ( p. 60)

Main work
– Check the throttle cable routing.
The throttle cable must be routed along the back of the
handlebar, to the right of the frame, above the fuel tank
bracket, and to the carburetor.
» If the throttle cable is not routed as specified:
– Correct the throttle cable routing.
Finishing work
– Install the fuel tank. ( p. 61)
– Install the right side cover. ( p. 60)
– Install the air filter box cover. ( p. 56)
– Mount the seat. ( p. 55)
11.42 Checking the rubber grip

– Check the rubber grips on the handlebar for damage and
wear and to ensure they are firmly seated.
» If a rubber grip is damaged, worn or loose:
– Change and secure the rubber grip.
