Fuses
僅 Check the removed fuse; replace it if
it is blown. Spare fuses are provided
in the instrument fuse panel (or in the
motor compartment fuse panel).
僅 Push in a new fuse of the same rating,
and make sure it fits tightly in the
clips.
If the headlights or taillights, stoplights,
day time running lights (DRL) do not
work and the fuses are OK, consult a
professional workshop. Kia recommends
to consult an authorized Kia dealer/ser

vice partner.
Replacing motor room fuse
Operation
僅 Press the EV button to the OFF posi
-
tion and turn all other switches off.
僅 Remove the fuse panel cover by
pressing the tab and pulling the cover
up.
When the blade type fuse is discon
-
nected, remove it by using the clip
designed for changing fuses located
in the motor room fuse box. Upon
removal, securely insert reserve fuse
of equal quantity.
僅 Check the removed fuse; replace it if
it is blown. To remove or insert the
fuse, use the fuse puller in the motor
compartment fuse panel.
僅 Push in a new fuse of the same rating,
and make sure it fits tightly in the
clips. If it fits loosely, consult a profes
-
sional workshop. Kia recommends to
consult an authorized Kia dealer/ser
-
vice partner.
After checking the fuse panel in the
motor compartment, securely install the
fuse panel cover through the audible
clicking sound. If not, electrical failures
may occur from water contact.
Replacing main fuse (multi fuse)
Operation
僅 Turn off the vehicle.
僅 Disconnect the negative battery cable.
僅 Remove the nuts shown in the picture
above.
僅 Replace the fuse with a new one of
the same rating.
僅 Reinstall in the reverse order of
removal.
