(Sensor fusion)
function setting on the LCD dis
-
play.
䳜 FCA automatically deactivates
upon canceling the ESC. When the
ESC is cancelled, FCA cannot be
activated on the LCD display.
FCA warning light will illuminate.
FCA warning message and function
control
FCA produces warning messages,
warning alarms, and emergency
braking based on the level of risk of
a frontal collision, such as when a
vehicle ahead suddenly brakes, or
when the function detects that a
collision with a pedestrian is immi
-
nent.
The driver can select the initial
warning activation time in the User
Settings in the LCD display. The
options for the initial Forward Colli
-
sion Warning include Early, Normal
or Late initial warning time.
Collision Warning (1st warning)
䳜 The warning message appears on
the LCD display with the warning
alarms.
Additionally, some vehicle interven
-
tion occurs by the engine manage
-
ment system to help decelerate the
vehicle.
The Vehicle may slow down slightly.
䳜 It will operate if the vehicle speed
is greater than 10 km/h (6 mph)
and less than or equal to 180km/h
(110 mph) on a forward vehicle.
(Depending on the condition of
the vehicle ahead and the envi
-
ronment surrounding it, the pos
-
sible maximum operating speed
may be reduced.)
䳜 For pedestrians and cyclists, the
vehicle speed is greater than or
equal to 10 km/h (6 mph) and less
than 85 km/h (53 mph). (Depend
-
ing on the condition of pedestri
-
ans and bike riders and the
surrounding environment the
possible maximum operating
speed may be reduced.)
- If you select "Warning only",
FCA activates and produces
only warning alarms in accor

dance with the collision risk lev

els. You should control the
brake directly because FCA do
not control the brake.
