• F FRONT – If the tap handle  of the fuel tap points toward the rear, fuel is taken
from the two front fuel tanks. Only the front fuel tanks empty out completely.

• R REAR – If tap handle  of the fuel tap points up, fuel is taken from the rear fuel
tank. Only the rear fuel tank empties out completely.
4.31Choke

The choke lever  is fitted on the left side of the handlebar.
Activating the choke function frees an opening through which the engine can draw
extra fuel. This gives a richer fuel-air mixture, which is needed for a cold start.

If the engine is warm, the choke function must be deactivated.
Possible states
• Choke function activated – The choke lever is pulled to the stop.
• Choke function deactivated – The choke lever is pushed back to the stop.

The shift lever  is mounted on the left side of the engine.

The neutral or idle position is between the first and second gears.
