7.16.5 Checking the external starting socket
The GMK6400 truck crane can be equipped with an external starting
socket (1) as additional equipment.
Accessories
A connection cable (1) for the external starting socket can be ordered as an
accessory.
The battery box can also be equipped with a battery charger as additional
equipment.
• Consult the operating instructions supplied with the battery charger and
regularly check that all components are functioning correctly to ensure
that the external starting socket, connecting cable and battery charger are
ready for use if needed;

Checks
• Remove the cap (4) from the socket (1).
• Check that the cap is undamaged (3) and
secured with the chain.
• If necessary, clean the poles (2).
• Fit the cap – the cap must be fitted tightly
and properly sealed on the socket.
