7.3.8 Changing the oil and oil filter
Oil, spare parts,
tools
– Receptacle, about 30 l (8 gal); à p. 2 - 4.
– Torque wrench for a torque of 40 Nm (29.5 lbf ft).
– Socket wrench SW 36.
– Connecting piece and hose (toolbox); à p. 7 - 100.
Prerequisites • Find out the prescribed oil specification and the necessity of shortening
the maintenance interval under special operating conditions;

• Find out about the safety instructions and the sequence of steps for
changing the oil and oil filter;

– The truck crane must be level.
– The engine must not be running and must be secured against unauthor-
ised use; Ã p. 2 - 3.

If a valve is mounted on the oil pan, use the delivered connecting piece with
hose and a receptacle with adequate capacity to drain the oil.
