Alarms and Messages Introduction
6.1.2 Types of Alarms and Messages
The A7 provides the following types of alarms and messages below. See section 6.6 (page 6-14)
"Alarm and Prompt Messages" for the list of alarms and messages:
Physiological Alarm:
Patient-related variables cause physiological alarms. These alarms require a user response and
may have a high, medium, or low priority.
Technical Alarm:
Machine-related variables cause technical alarms. These alarms require a user response and may
have a high, medium, or low priority.
Prompt Message:
This is a message to the user. They do not require a user response. These messages always have
the lowest priority, below physiological and technical alarms, and display in white.
