2-2 Mounting the Unit to the CPU Rack or
Expansion Rack
You can mount EtherNet/IP Units to an NJ-series CPU Rack or a CJ-series Expansion Rack. Mount an
EtherNet/IP Unit in any of the positions shown below using the sliders on the top and bottom of the Unit.
You can mount a maximum of four EtherNet/IP Units in a single Controller. If EtherNet/IP Units are
mounted in combination with other CPU Bus Units, the maximum total number of CPU Bus Units that
can be mounted is 16.
The CJ1W-EIP21 EtherNet/IP Unit's maximum current consumption is 410 mA. Be sure that the
total current consumption of all the Units that are mounted to the same CPU Rack or Expansion
Rack does not exceed the output capacity of the Power Supply Unit.
