6-1 System Menu Operation Flow
Follow
the procedure below when using the NT21 for the first
time or changing
the system program.
Create the data to be displayed on the NT21 by using the NT Support Tool.

for Windows Operation Manual (V061-E1-j).
Turn ON the power to the NT21.
If no screen data has been registered, an error message is displayed. In this
case,
press the OK touch switch
on the error message screen to display the Sys
-
tem Menu.
If screen
data has been registered and the RUN mode is established, perform
the appropriate operations on the touch panel to display the System Menu.
If necessary, initialize the memory of the NT21 by operation from the System
Menu.
Connect
the NT Support T
ool to the NT21 and transmit
the screen data from the
NT Support Tool to the NT21.
For
details on connecting the NT Support T
ool, refer to
3-3 Connecting to the NT
Support Tool (page 28).
Select
the System Menu and set the operations of the NT21 — for example the
conditions for communication with the host — using the memory switches.
Connect the NT21 to the host and start operation.
If
an error occurs during operation, check the I/Os, settings, etc., by referring to
this guide.
Screen Display when Shipping
The following figure shows the screen display that appears when the PT is
shipped. Normal screen data is not installed after inspection, resulting in this
message. This message does not indicate mechanical or other problems.
Press
the OK Button at the bottom right and follow
the messages that appear on
the screen.
