3. Press the bearing into place until the outer bearing
race bottoms in housing.
CAUTION
Use an arbor and press only on the outer race, as
bearing damage may occur.
4. Install a new retaining ring into the bearing carrier
groove.
INSTALLATION
1. Place the bearing carrier over the drive shaft.
2. Align the bottom of the bearing carrier with the lower
A-arm. If previously removed, install new lower A-
arm bushings. Install the lower bearing carrier
fastener.
3. With the drive shaft placed in the bearing carrier,
align the top of the bearing carrier with the upper A-
arm. If previously removed, install new upper A-arm
bushings. Install the upper bearing carrier fastener.
NOTICE
The lower shock bolt may need to be removed to allow
the upper A-arm to move freely.
4. Torque the upper and lower bearing carrier fasteners
to specification.
TORQUE
Bearing Carrier Fasteners:
40 ft-lbs (54 Nm)
5. Install the wheel hub assembly onto the rear drive
shaft.
6. Install the washers (domed side out)

Torque wheel nuts to specification.
TORQUE
Steel Wheel Nuts:
36 ft-lbs (49 Nm)
Aluminum Wheel Nuts:
30 ft-lbs + 90º (41 Nm + 90º)
8. Carefully lower the vehicle. Torque the rear hub
castle nut to specification. Install a new cotter pin

Rear Hub Castle Nut:
110 ft-lbs (150 Nm)
