13.1.7 Set Flo-Manager®

One of the most powerful ow management features in the LXME2 controller is Flo-Manager®.

Flo-Manager® enables the controller to allocate available water capacity to various stations based on

their hydraulic requirements.

This can be done even if ow sensors are not present.

Flo-Manager® works by adding another layer of station or system (FloZone) prioritization based on

available water resources. For example, if the FloZone has 20 GPM available ow and two stations

each consuming 6 GPM are currently in operation for a total of 12 GPM, FloManager® Will not allow

an additional station to start unless it consumes 8 GPM or less. This helps ensure that your system’s

hydraulic resources are not overtaxed and that sucient water is available to every sprinkler in every

station.

13.1.8 Flo-Manager® Set Up

If you have not already done so, use the Setup dial position to set up all master valves and the FloZone. See

“Master Valves” or more details.

It’s not necessary to install or set up ow sensors to use Flo-Manager®, but if you do have this

hardware present it’s usually helpful to set it up prior to activating Flo-Manager®. See “Flow Sensors”

for more details.

Once Flo-Manager® has been activated we recommend that you Learn Flow or manually enter ow

rates for all stations and for the entire FloZone. This will allow Flo-Manager® to dynamically allocate

water resources.

If you do not have ow sensing hardware installed you may be able to estimate ow rates based on

the irrigation hardware installed on a particular station or the entire FloZone and manually enter this

rate.

13.1.9 Enable or Disable Flo-Manager®

1 Turn the controller dial to Flow Sensor

2 At the FLOW SENSOR screen, press the

key to select Set Flo-Manager®, then press Next

3 At the Flo-Manager® screen, press the On key to turn on FloManager®

The conrmation screen appears. Press Accept to turn on FloManager.

Turning on Flo-Manager® changes Station Sequencing to Station Priorities. If you’re not sure about it press

the Reject key.
