4.2 Configuring the system in offline mode
4.2.1 Overview
Introduction
In the case of offline configuration, the project is created while not all of the hardware
components (in particular drives) are available. In this way, a SIMOTION project can be
developed in the office environment to the point that there is a basic project specification,
including the program. At a later time, the finished project can then be loaded to the
SIMOTION D410 and tested together with the drive.
Prerequisites for offline configuration
● All components and their order number must be known for the offline configuration.
● You created a project in SIMOTION SCOUT and added a SIMOTION D410 to the project.
● You configured the communication between the programming device / PC and
SIMOTION D410.

Note
During offline configuration, you can configure Terminal Modules such as the TM15,
