Troubleshooting
Possible Cause
• Faulty EPS motor circuit.
• Faulty EPS motor.
• EPS control unit malfunction.
Step Action Yes No
1 1) Turn the ignition switch OFF.
2) Check the EPS motor coupler for loose or poor contact.
If OK, measure the EPS motor voltage.
3) Insert the needle-point probes to lead wire coupler.
4) Start the engine and turn the handlebars left turn.
5) Measure the voltage between R wire “A” and B wire “B”.

(A): 09900–25008 (Multi circuit tester set)
(B): 09900–25009 (Needle-point probe set)
