4.02.03 Replacing filter cartridge for the fuel filter
WARNING
Inflammable fuel!
Risk of injury due to fire and explosion.

Do not smoke. No open fire.
■
Do not breathe in fuel vapours.
■
Catch spilling fuel or water sump, do not allow to seep away into
the ground!

Replacing filter cartridge 1. Switch off diesel engine and remove ignition key.
2. Allow machine to cool down to a temperature under 30 °C (86 °F).
3. Open the vent screw [B].
4. Unscrew the filter cartridge [A] and dispose of it properly.
5. Slightly oil the rubber seal before installing the new filter cartridge [A].
6. Screw the new filter cartridge [A] to the filter head until the seal
makes contact. Tighten the filter cartridge by hand further by half a
turn.
7. Switch on the electrical system [310] until fuel runs out of the vent
hole [B].
8. Screw in and tighten the vent screw [B].
9. Check for tightness after assembly.
The fuel filter must be drained at the drain valve [C] from time to time
depending on the water content in the fuel.
