Error Messages
Use the following information to solve problems on the printer.
Orange Blinking Small amount of toner is left in the toner cartridge. Prepare a new cartridge
for replacement. You may temporarily increase the printing quality by
redistributing the toner, refer to Redistributing Toner.
On The toner cartridge has almost reached its estimated cartridge life. It is
recommended to replace the toner cartridge, refer to Replacing the Toner
Cartridge.
Blue Blinking The printer is connecting to a wireless network.
On The printer is connected to a wireless network
Off The printer is not connected to a wireless network.
Message Meaning Suggested Solutions
Door open Close it The device front cover is open. Close the device front cover.
Bypass Empty The manual feed slot is out of
paper.
Add paper to the manual feed slot.
Tray 1 Empty Tray 1 is out of paper. 1. Open tray 1.
2. Add paper to tray 1.
3. Ensure that the paper guides touch the
edges of the loaded paper.
4. Close the tray.
All trays empty The device is out of paper. 1. Open tray 1.
2. Add paper to tray 1.
3. Ensure that the paper guides touch the
edges of the loaded paper.
4. Close the tray.
5. Add paper to the manual feed slot.
Output Bin Full.
Remove paper
The device output bin is full. Remove all paper from the output tray.
Please check the
printer and add toner
The toner cartridge is empty.
Replace the toner cartridge.
To replace the toner cartridge, follow the
instructions included with the toner cartridge
packaging, or refer to Replacing the Toner
Cartridge.

Drum is low. Order
Drum Cart.
The drum cartridge is nearing
end of life.
• Reorder a new drum cartridge now.
• Do not replace the drum cartridge until the
message is displayed to replace it.
